The obvious alternative is people supporting Technology, and that seems to be the chronic bad choice.
In business, we name and staff the “Computer Support Division” while we neglect to name and purchase the devices our staff actually needs. Or maybe they really don’t need anything new — they need a supportive word, honest encouragment, and leadership.
In the military intelligence community, we have billion dollar super spy satellites, but we fail to ask the HUMINT collectors about what we should buy them for $1000 each.
